For Special Education-Emotional Disabilities teachers enrolled in the State's PACE program and who are currently employed full-time in a South Carolina public school, qualification requirements for CREATE include the following:

1. Complete a CREATE application.
2. Email/fax/mail transcripts (unofficial will suffice) or grade reports of courses taken to date toward the three courses required by the PACE program:
   • Characteristics of Emotional Disabilities
   • Methods/Procedures for Emotional Disabilities
   • Behavior Management
3. If you have not taken any of these three courses yet, then email a statement indicating that you have not taken any course work yet.
4. If you have taken one or more courses other than the three listed in #2 above and which were pre-approved by the PACE Office, then email/fax/mail transcripts (unofficial will suffice) or grade reports of these courses.

2. Apply and get admitted into one of the following programs at one of the participating colleges in CREATE (see Map of CREATE Centers):
   • Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) degree program in Special Education
   • Bachelor's (BA or BS) degree program in Special Education
   • Non-degree/certification-only program in Special Education
3. Email/fax/mail a copy of your acceptance letter.
4. Email/fax/mail a copy of your program of study showing needed courses.
5. Email/fax/mail a copy of the Employment Agreement with required signatures.

3. Email/fax/mail a copy of your program of study that shows that you have earned at least 60 credits and that shows remaining courses needed to complete your degree.
